The company G&P COTTON GINNERS S.A. offers producers the opportunity to benefit from the quality and proper cultivation practices of seed cotton.
The first method is the annual participation in the Cotton Integrated Management Program “Agro 2.1-2.2,” organized by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food in collaboration with ELGO DIMITRA.
Through the ginning mill, which covers any arising costs, the producer receives a Cotton Integrated Management Certificate valid for one year, at no personal expense. The producer can use this certificate to participate in any program for additional scoring, as it is a prerequisite for most programs. To participate in the Cotton Integrated Management Program, the producer must express their interest by contacting the ginning mill by May 20th.
The second way for producers to benefit is through the Quality Value-Added Programs implemented by the ginning mill. These programs apply to defoliated, white-colored seed cotton with up to 13% moisture content, from specific cotton varieties. Producers wishing to participate must declare their intention to the ginning mill by August 31st (and in any case before harvesting) and submit the required documents as requested.
